Good to know
Free advice,
clearly explained.
Is the advice really free?
Yes. The checks on this page and the first 30-minute session are free and carry no obligation. If you later ask PBC to arrange cover or a larger advisory engagement, any fees or brokerage are explained and agreed before you commit.
Does PBC sell annuities or health plans directly?
No. Retiree life annuities are bought from life insurers licensed by NAICOM, and health plans are provided by NHIA-accredited HMOs or state schemes. PBC helps you understand the options, compare providers and ask the right questions.
Is this personal financial advice?
The guidance notes give general information based on your answers. They are not a recommendation to buy a specific product. Discuss your full circumstances with an adviser before making a decision, especially on retirement income, which is usually irreversible.
Which laws are referred to?
The Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act 2025 (compulsory classes including motor third party, buildings under construction and public buildings), the Pension Reform Act 2014 (group life cover for employees and retirement options), the Employee’s Compensation Act 2010, and the National Health Insurance Authority Act 2022. Requirements can change; confirm current rules before acting.
